  3.     The files on this disk were transferred from the CP/M-80 
  4. system.  The .COM files will not execute properly on the IBM PC since 
  5. they are intended for microprocessors running CP/M-80 and not for 
  6. the IBM and PC-DOS.  Attempting to run .COM files intended for 
  7. CP/M-80 could cause undesirable results including a crash of your 
  8. machine and loss of valuable data.  
  9.  
  10.     Therefore, you must recompile the source code under your own 
  11. C compiler before running the programs.  Be alert, also, to operating 
  12. system and hardware differences.
  13.  
  14.     Any files which were compressed in the original CP/M-80 
  15. format have been expanded back to ASCII form for the PC-DOS format.  
  16. Any references in the documentation to procedures for unsqueezing 
  17. or decompression should be ignored.
  18.  
  19.     Please note that any file names which originally contained 
  20. the characters '+' or '/' have had these characters replaced by a '-'.  
  21. This is necessary to meet PC-DOS file name restrictions.  The 
  22. documentation and source files have not been modified to reflect 
  23. these changes; please make allowances for this fact.
